The Photoshop Work and Help Thread

hi all post your work here also help people on how to do things like.. ive always wanted to no how to make a logo

You need a copy of photoshop to start with. Its an expensive program. What I might offer when the site takes off a bit more is to make the custom logos on here.

Cheers for the awesome bit lol. I look at the clubs current badge see what colours they are, then look on wikipedia at the clubs history and town where they are from to get a few ideas. Google images to see if there are any images that fit in with my general idea and then set about creating the logo. Some logos can take 30 mins while others can take up to 2 hours to get the effect.

Would probably be an Idea to have a graphics section incorporated as well.

Time and patience is needed for deleting areas you dont need. Then its a matter of resizing the parts you want onto another layer.

Yoy definitely have to have a bit of patience with it.

so what tool would you recommend for getting rid of uneeded bits?

I have got CS5 and the magic Erazer tool is what I use alot.

I normally start off on a workspace of 500x500 pixels. Then when the logo is done resize it down to 180x180 to use in the game. For the small logo I use the size 25x20.

o right my blackburn one compared to yours looks pretty beginner lol

This is one I did a while ago. Keep working at them. The more practise you get the better the logos will look.

Just google football signature tutorial and you will come up with loads. Best thing I did was look around and get a few ideas. Then just messed around with photoshop and different textures. Find a decent cut out render of the player you are doing first. Again google around for that.

I was just thinking if this should be more of a photoshop thread and then have a different thread for anyone creating graphics for Football Manager.
