Can England win the world cup?

I have followed England in the World Cup since 1982 and always in the back of my mind have that little bit of hope and national pride that we will win the World Cup. When every competition comes around I always think this is our time and then get let down. Is it any different this time. No. I would not class myself a true englishman if I did not think we had a chance. Bring on the group games and then the best of the rest.

in all fairness there are better teams out there England have a class side and i fully expect them to reach the quater finals/semi finals but i think spain, brazil and argentina have better squads capable of winning the world cup.

Well just seen the England V Japan game and we obviously have luck on our side. Hopefully when the final 23 are chosen then they will gell better.

We will never win the WC. Unless we get some good youth in folowing years.
